Once I got everything made for my little shop it was time to hunker down and get gifts made for my friends and family! Which means no pic sharing here until after the holidays! Hope everyone is done shopping and enjoying the season! My days are filled with Christmas light sightseeing, hot cocoa and snuggly nights by the fire! Just a few more days till Christmas! I can hardly wait!
Stringing time!
Now that I've made and fired all these ornaments, it's time to string and price them! Can't wait to get them in the little shop tomorrow! Wheeeeee!
Whole lotta Texas going on round here...
I've got roughly 40 Texas ornaments in the kiln tonight. Hoping that gets me through Christmas! Ha! I'll share after kiln shots tomorrow night! Stay warm folks!
More Christmas in the shop!
I added a few new items to the shop today! This green and silver wreath...
...and these two floral swags!
I'm running a little low on my newly designed Texas ornaments but I'll have them back in stock by this Tuesday! I just unloaded a ton of them in bisque from the kiln tonight and I'll be glazing like mad all day tomorrow!!
Happy weekend everyone!
Yo, bully!
I'm pretty much in love with my new bull mug. I brought him to work for my first day back and he kept me company all day! Love this fella. Bull mugs might have to find their way to the shop... We'll see!
Back to work!
I head back to work tomorrow but managed to get one last firing in! I love before and after shots of a loaded kiln so wanted to share a couple of pics with you guys!
All loaded up late last night and ready to go! The clear glaze I use is tinted blue so you can see where it's been applied.
...and this is everything completed before I unloaded it this afternoon! Huge difference!
Lastly... I wanted to share a pic of our tree! Ron and I spent the last day of our vacation decorating the house and relaxing! It was the perfect end to the Thanksgiving holiday! Hope you're having a lovely December too!
Twinkle, twinkle!
These trees and mugs turned out just the way I envisioned them! They will be in the shop by the end of the day today!
I've been experimenting with clay/glaze combos and I think this one is a winner! I sold five before I even had them all finished! They will be in the shop by next weekend for sure!
Buttons are in the horizon too! I know fall is over but I can never get enough leaves in my life!
Moving along...
The bell elements are moving right along! I've applied the underglaze, wiped them off and now just have to clear glaze and fire them!
Fired up (again)!
I've got lots of new stuff in the kiln right now! More Texas ornaments too (they are selling faster than I can make them)! I'm hoping to get everything in the shop by tomorrow night! Stay tuned!
It's the little things!
These little fellas are oh so easy to make but glazing them might make me a tad crazy! They'll be used as clangers and decorations for the new bells I'm working on!
Ding!
Think spring!?
I'm working on spring plant markers while it's 32 outside! Wishful thinking perhaps!?!?
Peeka boo... trees
Why I love vacation!
I get tons and tons made when I'm off work! I've got a new design brewing for the Texas ornaments and I'm working on an idea I had for cone shapped trees (inspired from a little something I saw on Pintrest)! Will share more as they get closer to being glazed!
ornaments are in!
The ornaments I've been working so hard on are all in the shop! Check them out the next time you stop by Vineyards!
It's a rare thing...
...to have a perfect firing all the way down to the bottom layer in a kiln. I'm feeling pretty grateful right now!
brrrrrrrr
It's freezing cold out there but that's ok! I'm hunkering down in the studio after work this week to keep on making! I've collected a nice assortment of lace to press into clay!
After a long week of making...
I've got tons of new goodies up at the booth! Here's a little sampling of what's new!
These leaves would make great spoon rests, trinket dishes or small serving plates for a very special appetizer! As always, my ceramic items are food safe!
I'm finally able to use the peg board my husband made for me! I'm using it for my Christmas ornament display. I'll be adding a lot more ornaments this week (I've got a huge batch of Texas ornaments firing in the kiln right this minute)!
My tea pot shaped tea bag holders/trinket dishes are being sold as a set of two for $7.99 (they are packed in a cute Kraft paper box with a jute twine ) or you can pick and choose them individually!
I was thrilled to see that the tea bag holders were a hot seller yesterday! I can't see what else gets picked up today!
Hope you all have a terrific week! Thanks for dropping by!
Christmas bear!
Santa paws is comin' to town!
Pricing & packaging
It's finally time to get these little fellas ready to go to the booth! I'm super happy with how everything turned out!
The bear
It's freezing out but no worries in here... this bear will be snug as a bug in a rug in the kiln tonight!
